Hotel Management School Maastricht

After it was established in 1950, the Hotel Management School Maastricht has become an educational institute with an international accreditation, recognition and reputation.

The Hotel Management School Maastricht trains young people to become qualified and passionate professionals who are able to contribute to the development and innovation of the national and international hospitality industry. It seeks to do so through its curriculum, research and life-long learning. Our motto is: ‘The next step in hospitality’.

Hotel Management School Maastricht offers a 4-year Bachelor of Arts in hotel management in both Dutch and English. We also offer a 1-year, English-taught Master in Facility and Real Estate Management. The Future of Food research group, Global Minds research group and Data-driven Hospitality research group are associated with our hotel school.

For the bachelor programme hotel management we select ambitious students who feel passionately about hospitality. We set the bar high and expect our students to be responsible for their own learning process, but offer them personal support whenever required. Currently, enrollment stands at approximately 1,200 students, and we welcome about 390 first year students, from all over the world every year.

The school campus is part of a beautiful park about 10 minutes from the centre of Maastricht. The education building, the Teaching Hotel and the new Student Residences for the first-year students are located on the campus. During the first year, every student gains practical and managerial experience in our own castle hotel. In the following years we offer students ample opportunities for international internships.

Hotel school graduates are highly appreciated employees in the hotel industry and many other industries. They often end up in serious management positions or become self-employed. Many alumni remain strongly involved with their alma mater and contribute happily to their hotel school.
